Trey Anastasio has joined with composer Don Hart for the orchestral album, Time Turns Elastic set to be released under The Rubber Jungle Records in mid may. With orchestral pieces by Hart, vocals/guitar by Anastasio, and music performed by the Northwest Sinfonia the album is slated to have a huge critical response.


Anastasio last worked with Hart at Bonnaroo 2004, of the collaboration Anastasio said “Neither of us had ever heard anything that uses a guitar as a serious instrument intermingled with an orchestra in the same way one would write a concerto for a violin and orchestra.” Time Turns Elastic will also be integrated into the upcoming Phish tour, so if you can’t make the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall Trey Anastasio concert, check out Phish tickets for their upcoming Phish tour.

If LiveNation dropped the ball for “technical glitches” with Phish ticket sales, Ticketmaster bit the big one this week. In a planned four night gig at Colorado’s Red Rock’s Amphitheater, Phish concert tickets were supposed to go on sale on March 26th. However, word spread around that Ticketmaster released thier Phish Red Rock tickets early, and fans snatched up Phish tickets before the glitch could be corrected on March 18th . Coveting their prized Phish tickets, fans were disappointed to see that ticket purchases were canceled. According to Ticketmaster’s contract of service “If you are able to order a ticket before its scheduled on-sale or presale date or you are able to order a ticket that was not supposed to have be released for sale then Ticketmaster will have the right to cancel that ticket.”

Bummer. What a let down! Well as you know I’ve had luck with a web site or two in my Phish concert days, particularly with Phish Hampton. I’m glad I snoozed on the 18 because even though people are getting their money back for tickets, the disappointment must be agonizing. Such a shame…

There was one lady standing next to me, stern-faced and like a statue- how could you not move to a Phish concert this pristine?! The only chica miserable at one of the best concerts of the year and our of 12,000 audience members she chooses to stand next to me! Anyway, despite that, the show became one of the largest dance parties I’ve had the privilege of participating in and Phish was nothing short of perfection (despite their little blip from YEM of course). What did you guys think?!
