Phish Halloween Festival | Phish Tickets Indio

Rumors have been circulating that a new multi-day Phish festival will happen some time in the fall. Well, those rumors are true and Phish is indeed hosting a 3 day festival on October 30, 31 and Nov 1 – that’s a Phish Halloween Festival! Phish’s last multi day festival was 2004’s Coventry Festival featuring torrential downpours. If you attended Bonnaroo this year like I did, you had to deal with a grueling few nights of rain before the sun finally broke through, but it was all worth it eh? Luckily I got to catch both friday night and sunday night Phish shows and lemme tell ya, they were pretty sweet. Although I’ve seen better shows on the current Phish tour, there’s something about the Bonnaroo atmosphere that just makes seeing Phish live well, magical. Adopting the dirty nomadic way of life for a couple of days is worth it when you can see the likes of Phish, Rodrigo Y Gabriela and even Erykah Badu in the same venue. And how about Phish finishing off their friday night set with a lil Beatles tune? A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Did anyone pass by this little phan art (shown above) towards the back right hand corner of the What Stage? Never seen such a beautiful sight have ya? It may be prettier than, dare I say, a pair of Phish tickets in hand…

It’s mid May and it has come to my attention that the Phish tour is starting in merely 2 weeks, 2 WEEKS! Now I’ve already purchased ny Phish Fenway tickets and my Phish Red Rocks tickets, I’m even thinking about hitting up Bonnaroo (yeah yeah I know, sellout whatevs). I’ve been hearing a lot of complaints from friends about how they snoozed and lost the chance to see Phish live because there are simply no Phish tickets left.

In a unprecidented announcement by Phish, Phish tickets will go on sale for Phish Boston, MA at Fenway Park hitting the stage on May 31 and Phish Wantagh, NY at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater on June 5 and 6. A stadium full of Phish fans will be madness, and what better band to fill a stadium with sweet sweet music than Phish? Trey Anastasio has joined with composer Don Hart for the orchestral album, Time Turns Elastic set to be released under The Rubber Jungle Records in mid may. With orchestral pieces by Hart, vocals/guitar by Anastasio, and music performed by the Northwest Sinfonia the album is slated to have a huge critical response.


Anastasio last worked with Hart at Bonnaroo 2004, of the collaboration Anastasio said “Neither of us had ever heard anything that uses a guitar as a serious instrument intermingled with an orchestra in the same way one would write a concerto for a violin and orchestra.” Time Turns Elastic will also be integrated into the upcoming Phish tour, so if you can’t make the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall Trey Anastasio concert, check out Phish tickets for their upcoming Phish tour.

If LiveNation dropped the ball for “technical glitches” with Phish ticket sales, Ticketmaster bit the big one this week. In a planned four night gig at Colorado’s Red Rock’s Amphitheater, Phish concert tickets were supposed to go on sale on March 26th. However, word spread around that Ticketmaster released thier Phish Red Rock tickets early, and fans snatched up Phish tickets before the glitch could be corrected on March 18th . Coveting their prized Phish tickets, fans were disappointed to see that ticket purchases were canceled. According to Ticketmaster’s contract of service “If you are able to order a ticket before its scheduled on-sale or presale date or you are able to order a ticket that was not supposed to have be released for sale then Ticketmaster will have the right to cancel that ticket.”

Bummer. What a let down! Well as you know I’ve had luck with a web site or two in my Phish concert days, particularly with Phish Hampton. I’m glad I snoozed on the 18 because even though people are getting their money back for tickets, the disappointment must be agonizing. Such a shame…

There was one lady standing next to me, stern-faced and like a statue- how could you not move to a Phish concert this pristine?! The only chica miserable at one of the best concerts of the year and our of 12,000 audience members she chooses to stand next to me! Anyway, despite that, the show became one of the largest dance parties I’ve had the privilege of participating in and Phish was nothing short of perfection (despite their little blip from YEM of course). What did you guys think?!

I’m a lil late on the news wagon with this one, but regardless, it’s still incredibly exciting. Trey Anastasio will collaborate with Marin Alsop and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra for a classic take on Phish music and the East Coast premiere of Time Turns Elastic. The group will be playing at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore, Maryland on May 21st. And, like all Phish-oriented events, tickets are expected to see out quickly. So, like the nice guy that I am, I’ve done the dirty work for ya- don’t forget to take pictures guys because I won’t be able to make it *violins playing*.
